The Riptide’s leaders came to the Mitchell Parks and Recreation Board this month and asked for a reduction or a suspension of fees related to practice rates or its $200,000 annual pledge to pay for the building. Ryan Raml, the organization’s board co-president, said the organization has $2,000 in funds at the moment.
17 swimmers had at least one first-place finish during the 2022 Splash Central Invitational, held at the Splash Central Water Park in Huron, on June 24-26.

Over the past year, Raml set five South Dakota swimming records as a seventh-grader, four of which are still intact, including a 200 freestyle record that surpassed former Aberdeen swimmer and current Olympian Michael Andrew.
Four swimmers had at least one first-place finish.
