MILLER -- The Wessington Springs/Woonsocket/Wolsey-Wessington wrestling team took care of business at the Miller triangular on Thursday, beating both Sunshine Bible Academy (54-22) and Miller/Highmore-Harrold (63-18).
In its win over Sunshine Bible Academy, Landon Wolter (152 pounds) and Chris Wuestewald (220) both recorded a pin. Wolter pinned Gage Davis in 1:19, while it took Wuestewald 1:24 to pin Garrett Davis.
WSWWW had three pins in its win over Miller/Highmore-Harrold. Joey Hoverson (106) pinned Gunner Brueggeman in 2:30, Keegan Haider (113) took down Colby Rittle in 36 seconds and Camden Jost (145) pinned Paton Coyle in 3:04. Carter Grohs also won a 6-3 decision over Tate Hoffman at 132 pounds.
WSWWW competes in the Mount Vernon/Plankinton Invite at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday in Plankinton.
