SALEM -- McCook Central/Montrose nearly ran the table in its MCM round robin dual meet on Friday, finishing the day 4-1.

The Fighting Cougars topped Marion/Freeman 66-14, followed by a 57-18 win over Parkston and a 78-5 loss to Viborg-Hurley. Canton dealt MCM its lone loss of the day, 62-12, but rebounded to beat Sisseton 58-19.

Jackson Remmers won all four of his matches at 126 pounds, recording three pins and a decision. Jacobi Krouse also won four matches, with three coming via fall, at 182 pounds. Dakota Buck recorded three pins at 106 pounds, while Weston Remmers had three pins and a major decision at 113.

Parkston also finished 4-1, besting Warner/Northwestern 42-24 before edging Sisseton 37-34. The Trojans also topped Faulkton Area 45-18 and Marion/Freeman 51-18.

Porter Neugebauer secured three wins at 106 pounds, two of which were first-minute falls. Riley Weber also notched two pins and a decision at 120 pounds, while Cordell Murtha added three wins at 138 and 145, one of which came in overtime against Sisseton’s Jayden Fryer.

Marion/Freeman went 3-2, topping Faulkton Area 42-30 and Warner/Northwestern 40-20, while dropping a 76-0 dual to Canton.

Clayton Smith had a pair of pins at 220 pounds and Daniel Cremer won two matches at 152 pounds.
