VOLGA -- Howard swept its three matches and Mount Vernon/Plankinton/Corsica-Stickney earned two wins on Tuesday at the Sioux Valley Quad.

The Tigers took down Sioux Valley (58-18), Marion/Freeman (59-12) and MVPCS (43-36) to go 3-0. MVPCS salvaged the quad with wins over Sioux Valley (60-15) and Marion/Freeman (57-24). Marion/Freeman’s lone win came against Sioux Valley (38-33).

A bevy of wrestlers picked up multiple wins for Howard. Tate Miller (106 pounds), Riley Genzlinger (132), Jack Neises (126), Kieffer Klinkhammer (138), Lane Miller (145), John Callies (152), Ty Beyer (160) and Isaac Feldhaus (220) all swept their three matches. Meanwhile, Karsten Hamilton (120), Gabriel Petrik (195/220) and William Rentz (285) all won two matches.

For Marion/Freeman, Brandon Ahalt (138), Skylar Hopkins (152), Daniel Cremer (160), Kyle Lemme (182/195) and Clayton Smith (220) all had two wins.

MVPCS also had multiple three-match winners, with most coming at heavier weights. Hadley Tobin (113) won three, along with Hunter Pranger (170), Thomas Baker (182), Reece Risseeuw (195) and Kellen Cassidy (285).

Landon Boyd (106), Austin Hauge (120), Brandon Bosworth (120/126), Griffin Tobin (132) and Drew Gerlach (138/145) all had a pair of wins.

MCM takes two of three in quad

MONTROSE -- McCook Central/Montrose won two of its three duals in quadrangular featuring Andes Central/Dakota Christian, Elk Point Jefferson and West Sioux (Iowa).

The Fighting Cougars blanked ACDC, 84-0, while taking a 58-21 win over EPJ and falling to West Sioux, 37-33.

After taking all but three matches by forfeit against ACDC, MCM won its first four matches against EPJ and five of the last six. Weston Remmers (113), Jacob Cheeseman (170) and Cade Entwisle (220) all won by pin, while Carter Randall earned a major decision at 138.

Meanwhile, West Sioux was able to offset the Fighting Cougars winning five of the last six matches by winning the first six matches of the dual.

Cheeseman and Blake Gessner registered back-to-back pins at 160 and 170, respectively, while Entwisle earned a pin in 25 seconds at 220, before Colin Reif scored a 6-2 decision at 285.

Bon Homme/Scotland/Avon picks up two wins

CROFTON, Neb. -- Bon Homme/Scotland/Avon didn’t have any problems at the Crofton (Neb.) triangular on Tuesday, earning a pair of wins. It defeated Crofton-Bloomfield (Neb.), 63-18, and then took down Pierce (Neb.), 39-29.

BHSA found success across multiple weights. Jordan Gall (220) and Micah DeBoer (285) each had two pins. Josh Crownover (182), D.J. Rueb (195), Jordan Rueb (138) and Isaac Crownover (132) all had a pin during their two-win days. Brady Bierema also picked up two wins.
