SIOUX CITY, Iowa -- The Dakota Wesleyan track and field team competed over the weekend at the Sioux City Relays, with the team's top finish coming from Natalie Wipf in the 400-meter dash.
Wipf took second in the event in 58.29 seconds, and was also a part of several successful relays. The Tigers' 4x100-meter relay, consisting of Wipf, Steph Leist, Kaily Hunhoff and Sarah Weidler, finished fourth. Also finishing fourth was the Tigers' 1,600-meter sprint relay of Weidler, Hunhoff, Wipf and Gail McIntyre.
The DWU men had success in several of the field events, led by a third-place finish from Danny Hutcheson in the long jump. Hutcheson jumped 20-feet-7.25 inches. Alex Liberty added a sixth-place finish in the high jump with a jump of 6-feet-3.25 inches.
Isaac VanDyke added seventh-place finish in the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase, finishing in 9:53.73.
Weidler finished seventh in the women's long jump (15-feet-4.75 inches) and added an 11th-place finish in the triple jump (33-feet-3.75 inches).

Layne Scheveck was ninth in the 400-meter hurdles in 56.36 seconds, and Jared Thomas added a 17th-place finish in the same event.
Thomas Madut was 10th in the men's 10,000-meter run, finishing in 34:19.91 seconds, and Dustin Shindler was 13th in the same event.
Jared DeWaard was 15th in the men's 400-meter dash for the Tigers (51.89). Hunhoff was 16th in the women's 100-meter dash (13.32) and Leist was 18th (13.33).
DWU will be back in action Friday at the University of Sioux Falls Invite.
