WATERTOWN -- Winner went out winners on Saturday.
The Warriors outlasted Hill City in a five-set marathon match for seventh place at the Class B state volleyball tournament. Set scores were 20-25, 26-24, 22-25, 25-12 and 15-10.
Ellie Brozik led the Warriors with 28 kills and 24 digs. Kalla Bertram added 13 kills and 17 digs. Mackenzie Levi followed with 42 assists and eight digs. Maggie LaCompte posted 27 digs and Jenna Hammerbeck recorded 15 digs.
Hill City’s Dale Schrier recorded 14 kills and Macey Wathen added 10 kills and 14 digs. Addisen Barber and Abby Siemonsma recorded 21 assists apiece. Siemonsma added 28 digs.
