There were five home runs hit during a Legion baseball game on Wednesday, which saw Winner/Colome top Tabor, 8-5.
Joren Bruun hit two solo shots for Winner/Colome, while Fred Whiting hit a three-run bomb in the fifth. Whiting’s homer capped Winner/Colome’s scoring. For Tabor, Riley Rothschadl hit two solo home runs.
Tabor held a 9-7 advantage in the hit department, though Kameron Meiners still picked up the win. He struck out seven and went the distance for Winner/Colome. Nate Scieszinski suffered the loss, giving up seven earned runs in four relief innings.
Winner/Colome (4-3) travels to Redfield on Saturday. Tabor (1-5) hosts Crofton on Tuesday.
