Wessington Springs boys shoot past Mitchell Christian

The Spartans swish eight 3-pointers in the win

Wessington Springs jumped out to a 20-9 first-quarter lead and knocked off Mitchell Christian 70-5 in boys basketball action on Saturday. The Spartans swished eight 3-pointers in the win.

Jacob Messmer paced the Spartans with 21 points, while Dylan Schimke netted 11 points. Tyler Kole added 10 points. Mason Schleske and Cade Mohling both scored nine points apiece.

Aiden Lieber led the Golden Eagles with 16 points and Nathanael Anderberg tossed in 13 points.

Mitchell Christian plays Bridgewater-Emery on Dec. 29 in Emery. Wessington Springs plays at Highmore-Harrold on Dec. 29 in Highmore.
