WAGNER — No. 2-seeded Wagner swept Hanson in the Region 5A quarterfinals to pick up its 25th win of the season. Set scores were 25-11, 25-11 and 26-24.
Wagner (25-6): Emma Yost led the team with 18 kills and 14 digs. Kya Kjeldgaard added seven kills and two blocks, while Macy Koupal had a team-high 29 set assists. Shalayne Nagel and Avari Bruguier had 10 digs each, with Nagel adding give blocks as well. The Red Raiders will host Sanborn Central/Woonsocket for a spot in the SoDak 16 on Nov. 4.
Hanson: Annalyse Weber had 15 digs, four kills, and two aces alone. Taylor Schroeder chipped in with 13 digs and Jalyn Kampshoff chipped in with a team-high 13 assists and 10 digs. Kylie Haiar added six kills. The Beavers’ season ends at 6-22.
Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 3, ACDC 0
FORESTBURG — No. 3-seeded Sanborn Central/Woonsocket defeated No. 6 Andes Central/Dakota Christian in a Region 5A playoff match Tuesday night. Set scores were 25-13, 25-13 and 26-24.
Sanborn Central/Woonsocket (22-6): Brooke Doering had 12 kills, Kenna Ochsner had eight kills, Trista White had eight kills and 23 digs for the Blackhawks. Teya Moody had 24 assists and three ace serves while Hannah Dickson had 17 digs. SCW travels to Wagner for the Region 5A semifinals on Nov. 4.

Andes Central/Dakota Christian: Lexie Vander Pol had 11 kills while Josie Brouwer had eight kills, 18 digs and 10 assists. Allison Muckey had seven kills and 12 digs while Keeva Weddell had 10 assists. Syrianna Never Miss A Shot added 13 digs and four ace serves. ACDC’s season ends at 7-21.
Bridgewater-Emery 3, Howard 0
EMERY — Bridgewater-Emery took down Howard in three sets to advance to the Region 5B semifinals. The set scores were 25-10, 25-14, and 25-13.
Bridgewater-Emery (28-0): Taylor Schallenkamp had 17 kills and seven digs. Julia Weber posted 13 kills and 12 digs, with Kaitlyn Roskens adding 24 set assists and five digs. Casey Meyer had 17 set assists, 12 digs, and four kills, and Chloe Schmitt contributed nine kills. The Huskies will face third-seeded Colman-Egan in the region semifinals on Nov. 4 in Madison.
Howard: Kate Connor had six kills for the tiger, while Aleya Kizer had four kills and four digs. Rylee Rudebusch added eight assists and nine digs and Emma Rudebusch added seven digs and four set assists. Piper Thompson had six digs and two kills as well. Howard’s season ends at 12-15.
Alcester-Hudson 3, Scotland 0
GAYVILLE — Fifth-seeded Alcester-Hudson knocked off No. 4 Scotland in the Region 5B volleyball quarterfinals Tuesday night. Set scores were 25-23, 27-25 and 25-18.
Alcester-Hudson (8-19): Roni Rhead had seven kills, four digs and two ace serves while Elly Doering had six kills and four blocks. Ella Serck had 20 assists and 13 digs while Jenna Manning had six digs. Hannah Ahart added 20 digs, Alexis Gray added 10 digs and Carly Patrick added 10 digs. The Cubs will take on No. 1 seed Gayville-Volin in the Region 5B semifinals on Nov. 4.
Scotland: Trinity Bietz had 11 kills and Audrey Sayler had seven kills. Delanie VanDriel had six kills and two blocks while Rylee Conrad had 29 assists. The Highlanders end their season at 12-13.
Freeman 3, Viborg-Hurley 1
FREEMAN — Second-seeded Freeman advanced to the Region 5B semifinals Tuesday night with a 3-1 win over Viborg-Hurley. Set scores were 25-15, 25-18, 15-25 and 25-15.

Freeman (19-9): Kate Miller had 19 kills and 21 digs while Ashlin Jacobsen had 19 kills and 16 digs. Ava Ammann had 32 assists, 21 digs and two ace serves while Lily Wipf had 25 digs and Ella Waltner had 13 digs. Cami Fransen had 10 digs, Paige Auch had seven digs and Zenovia Butler had six digs for the Flyers, who will meet No. 3-seeded Irene-Wakonda on Nov. 4.
Viborg-Hurley: Coral Mason had 19 kills and 29 digs while Denae Mach had eight kills and two blocks. Mataya Vannorsdel had 36 assists and two ace serves while Charley Nelson had a match-high 53 digs and two ace serves. Addy Huth added five kills for the Cougars and Jenna Graves added 12 digs and two ace serves. V-H ends the season at 8-21.

PLATTE — No. 1 Platte-Geddes swept No. 8 Wessington Springs in a Region 6B quarterfinal volleyball match on Tuesday. Set scores were 25-14, 25-17 and 25-14.
Platte-Geddes (30-4): Cadence Van Zee had 11 kills and 12 digs while Karly VanDerWerff had 10 kills and 11 digs. Regan Hoffman had eight kills and 13 digs while Avery DeVries 28 assists, six digs and three ace serves. Hadley Hanson added 11 digs and Baleigh Nachtigal added six digs. The Black Panthers will face Avon in the Region 6B semifinals on Nov. 4 in Bonesteel.
Wessington Springs: Avery Orth had nine kills and five blocks while Sarah Poncelow had six kills and seven digs. Raylee Fagerhaug had eight digs and Alyssa Grohs had 17 assists and eight digs. The Spartans finish the season at 14-18.

PLATTE — No. 4 Avon defeated No. 5 Gregory to secure a place in the Region 6B semifinals. Set scores were 25-20, 26-24, 16-25 and 25-22.
Avon (19-10): Tiffany Pelton had 12 kills and 12 digs and Courtney Sees wasn’t far behind with 11 kills and 11 digs. Katie Gretschmann and Sam Brodeen had 21 digs each and a combined five ace serves. McKenna Kocmich had 26 set assists, six digs, and two aces, with Makayla Kopp adding nine digs and four aces. Avon takes on top-seeded Platte-Geddes in the Region 6B semifinals on Nov. 4 in Bonesteel.
Gregory: Jessy VanDerWerff had eight kills and 19 digs and Brooklynn Kenzy had nine kills, 11 digs, and four aces. Gracie Kenzy added 22 set assists as well as 11 digs. Cassidy Keiser had 11 kills, while Mya Determan had six kills and four blocks. Gregory’s season ends at 15-13.

Burke 3, Corsica-Stickney 1
BURKE — Burke beat Corsica-Stickney in a Region 6B match in four sets to advance to the region semifinals. Set scores were 25-23, 23-25, 25-15 and 25-23.
Burke (27-8): Adisyn Indahl led the team with 17 kills and 31 digs, while Kailee Frank had 14 kills and 15 digs. Elle Johnson chipped in with 26 digs and Ava Sargent had 13 digs. Hailey Haiar and Paige Bull had five kills respectively.
Corsica-Stickney (13-14): Morgan Clites posted 18 kills and 16 digs, with Rachel Gerlach adding 10 kills and 16 digs. Sutten Eide had a team-high 31 set assists, while Casey Tolisma had 19 digs and six kills. The Jaguars’ season ends at 13-14.

BURKE — Sixth-seeded Tripp Delmont/Armour won a hard-fought volleyball match over No. 3-seeded Kimball/White Lake on Tuesday. Set scores were 29-27, 20-25, 21-25, 25-23 and 15-10.
Tripp-Delmont/Armour (17-13): Hannah Stremick had seven kills, 23 digs, 41 assists and two ace serves, Emma Faller had two ace serves, Gracey Schatz had 22 kills, Megan Reiner had 15 kills and 22 digs, Faith Goehring had 18 digs and Emma Fink had 17 digs. The Nighthawks take on Burke in the Region 6B semifinals on Nov. 4.

Irene-Wakonda 3, Menno 1 in Irene: The third-seeded Eagles earned a victory over No. 6 Menno in the Region 5B quarterfinals on Tuesday night. Set scores were 25-12, 26-24, 20-25 and 25-15. I-W (15-12) advances to face No. 2-seeded Freeman at a neutral site to be announced on Nov. 4 for the right to reach the Class B SoDak 16. Menno’s season ends at 9-16.

Chamberlain 3, Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 0 in Chamberlain: Fourth-seeded Chamberlain advanced to the Region 6A semifinals Tuesday night with a three-set sweep of the Braves. The Cubs (9-20) won by the scores of 25-10, 25-12 and 25-19. They will face top-seeded Mobridge-Pollock on Nov. 4, while CEB’s season ends at 10-20.
Winner 3, Crow Creek 0 in Winner: The Warriors, seeded No. 2 in Region 6A, cruised to a three-set sweep Tuesday at home. Set scores were 25-7, 25-13 and 25-10. Baltic 3, McCook Central/Montrose 1 in Baltic: The fourth-seeded Bulldogs broke through a 1-1 stalemate by winning the final two sets in a Region 3A quarterfinal match. Baltic (19-6) will take on No. 1-seeded Sioux Falls Christian in a region semifinal match on Nov. 4. MCM’s season wraps up at 13-13.
Parkston 3, Bon Homme 0 in Wagner: The fourth-seeded Trojans earned a straight-set victory over Bon Homme in a Region 5A quarterfinal Tuesday. Set scores were 25-23, 25-12 and 25-16. Parkston (19-14) will take on No. 1-seeded Mount Vernon/Plankinton on Nov. 4, while Bon Homme’s season ends at 9-21.
