Platte-Geddes (29-4): Cadence Van Zee had 20 kills and 35 digs while Karly VanDerWerff had 13 kills, 21 digs and two ace serves. Avery DeVries had 44 assists, 19 digs and three ace serves while Regan Hoffman had 10 kills and two ace serves.

Ethan (16-13): Bella Nesheim had 20 kills and 30 digs while Hannah Bartscher had 13 kills, 31 digs and four blocks. Emiley Hoffman had eight kills while Ava Lingemann had 15 digs and 35 assists. Aubrie Biteler added four ace serves and Alexis Meyes added two blocks.

FORESTBURG — Mount Vernon/Plankinton won a back-and-forth Region 5A battle against Sanborn Central/Woonsocket to reach the 20-win threshold on Tuesday night. Set scores were 25-15, 22-25, 25-23, 23-25 and 15-12.

Mount Vernon/Plankinton (20-6): Maria Baker had 21 kills and two ace serves while Tessa Pickart had 14 kills and 24 digs. Jocelyn Manzano had 37 digs and Shyla Tobin had 41 assists. Cally Faulhaber had four blocks while Reagan Rus had two blocks.

Sanborn Central/Woonsocket (21-6): Trista White set a school single-match record with 37 digs, along with 12 kills and two ace serves for the Blackhawks. Brooke Doering had 22 kills while Kennadie Ochsner had nine kills and seven blocks. Teya Moody added 38 assists and Dayton Easton added 33 digs.

JVC 3, Mitchell Christian 0

MITCHELL — James Valley Christian swept Mitchell Christian straight sets in the first game of the Mitchell Christian Varsity Triangular on Tuesday. Set scores were 25-4, 25-13 and 25-6.

James Valley Christian (11-13): Brenna Held had 15 kills, Colleen Wipf had 10 digs and Karilyn Wieting had 32 assists. Autumn Gross added three ace serves for the Vikings.

Mitchell Christian (2-18): Whisper Eben had two kills and 12 digs while Keely O’Neill had 11 digs. Mandy Lienemann added six digs for the Golden Eagles.

MITCHELL — Freeman Academy/Marion picked up a straight-set win over Mitchell Christian on Tuesday night. Set scores were 25-13, 25-10 and 25-15.

Freeman Academy/Marion (4-24): Alivea Weber had 11 kills and 26 digs while Emma McConniel had 36 digs and six ace serves. Hailey Stahl had eight kills of her own.

Mitchell Christian (2-18): Whisper Eben had three kills and 13 digs while Aspen Lessman had seven digs.

MITCHELL — James Valley Christian won its second game at the Mitchell Christian Varsity Triangular as they beat Freeman Academy/Marion in three-straight sets Tuesday night. Set scores were 25-5, 25-14 and 25-18.

James Valley Christian (11-13): Brenna Held had 12 kills and 13 digs while Karilyn Wieting had seven digs, 20 assists and three ace serves. Autumn Gross had 13 digs and Jolie Dowling had two blocks. Both Natalie Hamilton and Kaylie Robinson had four kills each.

Freeman Academy/Marion (4-24): Emma McConniel had 34 digs, Alivea Weber had 26 digs and Alexa Gortmaker had 19 digs and two ace serves for the Bearcats.

PRESHO — Burke swept Lyman on the road on Tuesday night. Set scores were 25-15, 25-6 and 25-5.

Burke (26-8): Adisyn Indahl had 15 kills, 16 digs and three ace serves while Kailee Frank had six kills and six ace serves. Paige Bull had six kills and three blocks while Ava Sargent had nine digs and 12 assists. Elle Johnson added 14 digs for the Cougars, along with Elly Witt adding 10 assists.

Lyman (3-25): Individual statistics were not available for Lyman.

Bridgewater-Emery 3, Centerville 0

CENTERVILLE — Bridgewater-Emery remained undefeated as they took down Centerville in three-straight sets on Tuesday. Set scores were 25-9, 25-8 and 25-8.

Bridgewater-Emery (27-0): Julia Weber had 15 kills and seven digs while Taylor Schallenkamp had eight kills, five digs and two ace serves. Kaitlyn Roskens had 26 assists, six digs and five ace serves while Casey Meyer had 12 assists and three ace serves. Morgan Uptagrafft added three kills for the Huskies.

Centerville (5-23): Mya Bendt had four kills and 10 digs while Bailey Hansen had a match-high 18 digs. Rylie Tieman had two kills, two digs and two ace serves for the Tornadoes.

FREEMAN — The Flyers won their fourth straight game as they beat Alcester-Hudson at home on Tuesday night. Set scores were 25-14, 25-18 and 25-19.

Freeman (18-9): Erin Uecker had 18 kills and 17 digs while Kate Miller had 13 kills, 17 digs and two ace serves. Lily Wipf had four kills, 13 digs and four ace serves while Ava Ammann had 29 assists and 11 digs. Cami Fransen had 13 digs and Ashlin Jacobsen added six digs for the Flyers.

Alcester-Hudson (7-19): Elly Doering had seven kills and four blocks while Carly Patrick had seven kills, five digs and two blocks. Roni Rhead had six kills and five blocks while Alexis Gray had six kills and four blocks. Ella Serck had 26 assists and five digs while Hannah Ahart had five digs as well.

Corsica-Stickney 3, Colome 0

COLOME — Corsica-Stickney picked up its 12th win of the season by defeating Colome in straight sets on Tuesday night. Set scores were 25-14, 25-9 and 25-11.

Corsica-Stickney (12-13): Morgan Clites had 11 kills, 16 digs and five ace serves while Casey Tolsma had seven kills, 12 digs and two ace serves. Rachel Gerlach had seven kills and Mara Lagge had 10 digs. Sutten Eide added 26 assists while Avery Broughton added two blocks for the Jaguars.

Colome (8-21): Toree Ringing Shield had five kills, three assists and two blocks while Katie Welker had four kills and 13 digs. Maura Luedke also had four kills while Jordyn Ring had eight digs and four assists. Landi Krumpus added 17 digs, Ashlyn Hoffine added eight digs and Devan Dougherty added seven assists.

Avon 3, Bon Homme 2

TYNDALL — Avon needed five sets to edge past Bon Homme and earn win No. 18 on Tuesday night. Set scores were 25-17, 23-25, 25-22, 21-25 and 15-7.

Avon (18-10): Tiffany Pelton had 21 kills, 11 digs and two blocks while Courtney Sees had 15 kills and 13 digs. Sam Brodeen had eight kills, 17 digs and two ace serves while McKenna Kocmich had 27 assists, seven digs and two ace serves.

Both Katie Gretschmann and MaKayla Kopp had two ace serves each, but Gretschmann added 25 digs and Kopp added 18 digs.

Bon Homme (9-20): Olivia Bures had 24 kills and 13 digs while Jenna Duffek had 16 kills and nine digs. Erin Heusinkveld had six kills, seven digs and a match-high five blocks. Jurni Vavruska had four kills, four digs and two ace serves while Kenadee Kozak had 22 digs and three kills. Jaden Kortan added 43 assists, four digs and four kills.

Scotland 3, Menno 1

SCOTLAND — Scotland picked up its 12th win Tuesday night at home, claiming a four-set high school volleyball match. Set scores were 25-21, 22-25, 25-19 and 25-16.

Scotland (12-12): Delanie VanDriel led the Highlanders with 11 kills, four digs, three ace serves and two blocks while Audrey Sayler had five kills, three digs, two ace serves. Martina DeBoer had seven kills and Bailey Vitek had 10 digs. Rylee Conrad added 25 assists.

Menno (9-15): Josephine Stokes had three kills and three ace serves while Grace Nusz had 12 digs, five assists and two ace serves. Bridget Vaith had six kills, Raygen Diede had five kills, Julia Buechler had 24 digs and Madelyn Kludt had 11 digs. Paityn Huber added two ace serves for the Wolves.

Hitchcock-Tulare 3, Wessington Springs 0

TULARE — Hitchcock-Tulare won for the third time in its last four matches with a three-set high school volleyball road sweep on Tuesday night. Set scores were 25-22, 25-23 and 25-22.

Hitchcock-Tulare (12-14): Katelyn Schroeder had 24 kills and Bethany Wiebe had eight kills. Shandi Chasing Hawk had 39 assists and five ace serves while Brooklyn Frankenstein had 22 digs. Madison Hofer also added 20 digs of her own.

Wessington Springs (13-17): Avery Orth had 13 kills, 14 digs, six blocks and two ace serves while Carissa Scheel had six kills. Alyssa Grohs added 24 assists and Raylee Fagerhaug added 20 digs.
