Class AA

Stability: The top-four teams in this week’s polls remain the same, with O’Gorman not playing last week. Washington and Lincoln remain undefeated and Pierre won three times last week to stay at No. 4.

Swapping spots: Harrisburg moves in at No. 5, replacing Brandon Valley.

Others receiving votes: Brandon Valley (4-4) 7; S.F. Roosevelt (6-4) 3.

Class A

1. SF Christian (15) 7-0, 75

2. Dakota Valley, 7-1, 41

3. RC Christian, 10-0, 41

4. Winner, 4-1, 17

5. Garretson, 9-1, 16.

On the move: Rapid City Christian moved up to No. 3 in the poll, behind a stable top-2, after Winner suffered its first loss of the season at the hands of Belle Fourche.

Close proximity: No. 4 Winner and No. 5 Garretson stayed among the ranked teams despite their first losses, with undefeated Hill City standing as the first team out.

Class B

1. Wolsey-Wessington (14), 8-0, 73

2. Warner, 10-1, 57

3. Northwestern, 8-2, 41

4. Bridgewater-Emery, 6-0, 29

5. Chester Area, 9-2, 21.

Not backing down: Wolsey-Wessington stays at the top of Class B for another week, claiming all but one first-place vote among voters, bolstered by winning its home tournament on Sept. 11. Warner jumped from No. 3 to No. 2 after defeating rival Northwestern in three sets last week. The Wildcats are now No. 3.

Hanging close: Still undefeated, Bridgewater-Emery stays at No. 4 and Chester Area is No. 5 after winning the Big East Conference Tournament title with a five-set victory over Class A No. 5 Garretson.
