TRIPP-DELMONT -- Avon picked up its fifth win of the season in a straight set victory over Tripp-Delmont/Armour on Tuesday night. Set scores were 25-19, 25-16 and 25-18.

Avon (5-1): Tiffany Pelton had 8 kills, 7 digs and 4 blocks. McKenna Kocmich had 17 assists and 12 digs while Courtney Sees had 11 digs, 4 kills and 3 ace serves. Avon travels to Alcester-Hudson on Sept. 9.

CHAMBERLAIN -- Burke won its second match of the season, taking down Chamberlain in straight sets on Tuesday night. Set scores were 25-19, 25-19 and 25-18.

PLATTE -- Platte-Geddes earned a hard-fought victory Tuesday in high school volleyball action. Set scores were 11-25, 25-20, 22-25, 25-20 and 15-9.

Platte-Geddes (6-0): Karly VanDerWerff 24 kills and 21 digs while Cadence Van Zee had 15 kills and 18 digs. Avery DeVries had 31 assists, 10 digs, 3 ace serves and 3 kills while Regan Hoffman had 10 kills and 16 digs. Hadley Hanson added 12 digs and Baleigh Nachtigal added 6 kills and 9 digs.
