Dell Rapids St. Mary (6-1): Courtney Brown led the Lady Cardinals with nine kills and six digs. Brianna Lindemann added five digs, six assists and six aces. DRSM is at Canistota on Sept. 9.

Mitchell Christian (0-2): Keely O’Neill (12) and Kelsey Holdeman (10) each recorded double-digit digs for the Golden Eagles, who are at Wessington Springs on Sept. 7.

Corsica-Stickney 3, Centerville 0

CORSICA — Corsica-Stickney picked up its second win of the season in a straight set victory over Centerville on Thursday night. Set scores were 25-15, 25-18 and 25-19.

Corsica-Stickney (2-5): Morgan Clites had 10 kills, eight digs and four aces. Sutten Eide added 28 assists and seven digs. The Jaguars are at Sanborn Central/Woonsocket on Sept. 7.

Centerville (1-4): Mya Bendt led Centerville with seven kills and two aces. The Tornadoes are at Freeman on Sept. 7.

Freeman 3, Howard 0

FREEMAN — Freeman picked up its third win of the season, defeating Howard in straight sets on Thursday night. Set scores were 25-21, 25-17 and 25-22.

Freeman (3-2): Erin Uecker posted 12 kills and nine digs to go along with 11 kills and eight digs from Kate Miller. Ava Ammann (18) and Paige Auch (14) each had double-digit assists for the Flyers, who host Centerville on Sept. 7.

Howard (1-3): Rylee Rudebusch notched a double-double with 14 digs and 12 assists. Emma Rudebusch and Katlin Schlim each added 14 digs of their own, with Schlim also recording three aces. Howard is at Hanson on Sept. 7.

Menno 3, Freeman Academy/Marion 0

MENNO — Menno picked up a straight set victory over Freeman Academy/Marion for its fourth win of the season on Thursday night. Set scores were 25-14, 25-13 and 25-14.

Menno (4-2): Grace Nusz had 10 assists, two kills and five aces. Paityn Huber chipped in for 10 digs, six assists and three aces for the Wolves, who are at Bridgewater-Emery on Sept. 7.

Freeman Academy/Marion (0-5): Alivea Weber had three kills, four digs and a pair of aces for the Bearcats, who are at Scotland on Sept. 9.

Bridgewater-Emery 3, Wessington Springs 0

WESSINGTON SPRINGS — Bridgewater-Emery picked up a straight-set win over Wessington Springs on Thursday night for its fourth match victory of the season. Set scores were 25-3, 25-13 and 25-10.

Bridgewater-Emery (4-0): Julia Weber led the way with 14 kills and eight digs. Taylor Schallenkamp racked up eight kills, three blocks and an ace, while Casey Meyer added 20 assists and five aces. The Huskies host Menno on Sept. 7.

Wessington Springs (3-2): Sarah Poncelow led the Lady Spartans in four categories, compiling two kills, three blocks, eight digs and two aces. Wessington Springs hosts Mitchell Christian on Sept. 7.

Avon 3, Andes Central/Dakota Christian 0

AVON — Avon won its fourth match of the season, taking down Andes Central/Dakota Christian in straight sets on Thursday night. Set scores were 25-14, 25-10 and 25-12.

Avon (4-1): Tiffany Pelton powered her way with 15 kills, five digs and three aces. McKenna Kocmich had 17 assists, five digs and a pair of aces. Katie Gretschmann led the Lady Pirates in digs with 10. Avon takes on Tripp-Delmont/Armour on Sept. 7.

Andes Central/Dakota Christian (1-4): Lexie Vander Pol had a team-high eight kills to go with a pair of blocks. Allison Muckey and Claire Johnson chipped in seven assists and nine digs, respectively. Andes Central/Dakota Christian hosts Parkston on Sept. 7.

Kimball/White Lake 3, Burke 0

BURKE — Kimball/White Lake won its second match victory of the season on Thursday night. Set scores were 25-17, 25-20 and 26-24.

Kimball/White Lake (2-1): Ryann Nielsen led the way with a 14-kill, 16-assist double-double. Cami Comfert chipped in 13 digs and seven assists for the Wildkats, who are at Tripp-Delmont/Armour on Sept. 9.

Burke (1-2): Adisyn Indahl had nine kills and seven digs. Elle Johnson paced the team in digs with 23, while Ava Sargent’s 12 digs also led the Lady Cougars, who are at Chamberlain on Sept. 7.

Platte-Geddes 3, Colome 0

COLOME — Platte-Geddes ran its season-opening win streak to five, taking a straight-set victory over Colome on Thursday night. Set scores were 25-7, 25-16 and 25-20.

Platte-Geddes (5-0): Regan Hoffman notched a double-double with 10 kills and 11 digs. Karly VanDerWerff added nine kills, 13 digs and four blocks. Avery DeVeries had 27 assists in the win. The Black Panthers host Wagner on Sept. 7.

Colome (1-3): Toree Ringing Shield led the Cowgirls with three kills and two blocks. Ashlyn Hoffine had 11 digs. Colome is at the Gregory Invitational Tournament on Sept. 4.

Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 3, Ethan 1

ETHAN — Sanborn Central/Woonsocket earned its fourth win of the season, defeating Ethan in four sets on Thursday night. Set scores were 25-18, 21-25, 25-20 and 25-19.

Sanborn Central/Woonsocket (4-1): Trista White led the Blackhawks with 15 kills and four aces. Teya Moody recorded 28 assists. The Blackhawks host Corsica-Stickney on Sept. 7.

Ethan (0-3): Bella Nesheim (19 kills, 23 digs) and Ava Lingemann (22 assists, 18 digs) both notched double-doubles for the Rustlers, who host Mount Vernon/Plankinton on Sept. 7.

Gregory 3, Lyman 0

GREGORY — Gregory won a home volleyball match on Thursday to remain perfect on the season. Set scores were 25-18, 25-17 and 25-19.

Gregory (3-0): Brooklynn Kenzy had 12 kills, 12 digs and 3 ace serves while Mya Determan had 7 kills. Jessy VanDerWerff added 11 digs while Gracie Kenzy had 9 digs and 20 assists.

Lyman (0-2): Skyler Volmer had two kills and two blocks. Ellie Erikson had two kills along with two ace serves. Skyler Volmer and Rachel Hoffer each had two blocks. Gregory and Lyman face off again on Sept. 4.

Scotland 3, Canistota 2

SCOTLAND — Scotland secured its fourth win of the season, edging past Canistota in five sets on Thursday night. Set scores were 25-19, 15-25, 18-25, 25-13 and 15-13.

Scotland (4-2): Rylee Conrad’s 32-assist, 10-dig double-double led the way for Scotland, which hosts Gayville-Volin on Sept. 7.

Canistota (0-6): Kayla Papendick recorded a double-double for the Hawks, amassing 10 kills and 20 digs. Canistota is at Viborg-Hurley on Sept. 7.

Winner 3, Valentine (Neb.) 0

WINNER — Winner remained undefeated with a straight-set victory over out-of-state foe Valentine, Nebraska, on Thursday night. Set scores were 25-20, 25-14 and 25-23.

Winner (4-0): Alexis Klein recorded a double-double with 20 assists and 11 digs. Ellie Brozik led the Lady Warriors in kills with 13, and Libbie Petersek added seven kills and four aces. Winner is at Belle Fourche on Sept. 9.

Valentine, Neb. (2-4): Kailee Kellum led her team with eight kills and two blocks, adding nine digs.

Mount Vernon/Plankinton 3, Bon Homme 0

TYNDALL — Mount Vernon/Plankinton kept its record unblemished with a straight set victory over Bon Homme on Thursday night. Set scores were 25-14, 25-18 and 25-16.

Mount Vernon/Plankinton (4-0): MVP was led by Maria Baker’s 11 kills, Shyla Tobin’s 23 assists and 14 digs by Jocelyn Manzano. The Titans are at Ethan on Sept. 7.

Bon Homme (2-2): Stats were not immediately available for the Cavaliers, who are at Vermillion on Sept. 7.

Wagner 3, Chamberlain 0

CHAMBERLAIN — Wagner won its fifth match of the season, taking down Chamberlain in straight sets on Thursday night. Set scores were 25-10, 25-16 and 25-12.

Wagner (5-2): Shalayne Nagel led her team with 11 kills and two blocks. Macy Koupal’s 23 assists were tops for the Red Raiders, who are at Platte-Geddes on Sept. 7.

Chamberlain (0-3): Leigha Long (16) and Chesney Mutziger (11) each recorded double-digit digs. Mutziger also led the Cubs with seven assists. Chamberlain hosts Burke on Sept. 7.

Parker 3, McCook Central/Montrose 2

PARKER — Powered by Brooke Berens’ 10 kills and 34 digs, Parker earned a hard-fought victory Thursday in high school volleyball action. Set scores were 25-23, 25-21, 15-25, 14-25 and 15-13.

Parker (2-2): Katie Bialas had 9 kills while Desiree Piercee had a team-high 52 digs. Josie Leberman added 28 diggs while Halle Berens added 6 kills. Alexis Even had 14 assists and 3 ace serves while Terryn Fuller had 11 assists. Parker plays McCook Central Montrose in a rematch on Sept. 9 in the Big East Conference Tournament.

McCook Central Montrose (1-6): Brianna Even led the Cougars with 42 assists, 14 digs and 3 ace serves. Brady Pulse had 17 kills and 21 digs while Michaele McCormick had 16 kills and 32 digs. Ashtyn Wobig added 3 blocks and 3 ace serves. McCook Central Montrose hosts Sioux Valley on Sept. 7.

Parkston 3, Hanson 0

PARKSTON — Parkston notched its third win of the season, defeating Hanson in straight sets on Thursday night. Set scores were 25-11, 25-23 and 25-13.

Parkston (3-5): Allison Ziebart recorded eight kills and 18 digs, with Faith Oakley notching 16 assists and nine digs. Avery Bogenreif added 12 assists and eight digs of her own to go with three aces. Parkston is at Andes Central/Dakota Christian on Sept. 7.

Hanson (1-4): Skylar Holm led the Beaverettes with 15 digs. Jalyn Kampshoff chipped in 12 assists and nine digs. Hanson hosts Howard on Sept. 7.
