KIMBALL -- Platte-Geddes edged Kimball/White Lake in a five-set marathon match on Tuesday. Set scores were 25-22, 19-25, 23-25, 25-19 and 16-14.

Platte-Geddes (15-3): Karly VanDerWerff led the way with 25 kills, seven digs and two blocks. Cadence Van Zee posted 19 kills, five digs and three aces. Avery DeVries added 43 assists and 11 digs. Taryn Starr had five kills, Baleigh Nachtigal and Regan Hoffman both recorded 21 digs. The Black Panthers host the SESD tournament on Saturday.

Kimball/White Lake (12-4): Kennedy Leiferman finished with 22 kills, 13 digs, six aces and three blocks. Leiferman also notched her 1,000th career kill. Dani Deffenbaugh followed with 12 kills, 10 digs, three blocks and two aces. Ryann Nielsen added 32 assists and four blocks. Madison Heath finished with 18 digs and two aces. KWL plays at Wessington Springs on Friday.

Corsica-Stickney 3, Avon 0

CORSICA -- Corsica-Stickney swept Avon in straight sets in a high school volleyball match on Tuesday. Set scores were 28-26, 25-18 and 26-24.

Corsica-Stickney (14-3): Avery Broughton finished with 10 kills, six digs and two blocks. Morgan DeLange added eight kills and nine digs. Raven Barse recorded five kills and 15 digs. Paige Wright posted five kills and four digs. Rachel Gerlach followed with four kills and eight digs. Sutten Eide added 25 assists and 13 digs. Morgan Clites posted 17 digs and three aces. WINNER -- Class A No. 5 Winner knocked off Wagner in prep volleyball action on Tuesday. Set scores were 27-25, 25-15 and 25-16.

Winner (15-4): Ellie Brozik recorded 16 kills and two blocks. Kalla Bertram logged 11 kills, 11 digs and six aces. Jenna Hammerbeck added four aces. Mackenzie Levi posted 26 assists, while Maggie LaCompte followed with 13 digs. Ellie Brozik and Marlie Schuyler each had two blocks. The Warriors play at the SESD tournament on Saturday in Platte.

Wagner (7-3): Abby Brunsing finished with 17 kills and seven digs. Avari Bruguier added one block, seven kills and 14 digs. Macy Koupal dished out 25 assists and had three aces. ALEXANDRIA -- Freeman topped Hanson in high school volleyball action on Tuesday. Set scores were 25-19, 25-18, 16-25 and 25-9.

Freeman (13-6): Rijjy Peterson finished with 16 kills, 23 digs, five aces and four blocks. Cara Maske added 18 assists and four digs. Kate Miller recorded seven kills, 12 digs and two aces. Erin Uecker posted 16 digs and three kills. Odalite Pankratz chipped in with 10 digs and four kills. Ava Ammann recorded 18 assists and four digs. Mesa Mehlhaf had six kills and two digs. Hanson (5-13): Andrea Thelen finished with 15 kills and three blocks. Annalyse Weber posted six kills, 11 digs and two aces. Abby Kortan posted 16 digs, five aces, three kills and two blocks. Gayville-Volin (12-2): Kayla VanOsdel finished with 28 kills and 22 digs, while Samatha Olson posted 16 kills. Molly Larson recorded 37 digs and Ayla Dimmer posted 25 digs. WOONSOCKET -- Hitchcock-Tulare handed Sanborn Central/Woonsocket a three-set sweep on Tuesday. Set scores were 25-17, 25-16 and 25-15.

Hitchcock-Tulare (13-3): Dannyn Peterson finished with nine kills, while Katelyn Schroeder added seven kills. Cassidy Johnson and Katelyn Rathjen both had two aces. Johnson added 17 digs and Schroeder posted 10 digs. Kenidee Enander handed out 31 assists, while Ashley Masat had four blocks. The Patriots host Sully Buttes on Friday in Tulare.

Colome (11-4): Baylie Hoffine finished with eight digs and 15 kills. Ashlyn Hoffine added 11 digs, while Liz Yeaman added seven kills. Libby Petersek posted 12 digs and Makayla Shippy recorded 18 assists. Shippy also had nine aces. Saydee Heath added four kills, two blocks and two assists. Colome hosts Centerville on Friday.

Alcester-Hudson (12-11): Veronica Rhead finished with seven kills, while Abby Walth added four kills. Bayleigh Peterson recorded 12 assists, six digs and 16 aces. Ella Serck posted four digs, while Alyssa Keiser had four digs and four aces. The Cubs play Viborg-Hurley on Oct. 26 in Hurley.
