Platte-Geddes (3-1): Karly VanDerWerff finished with 18 kills and 10 digs. Cadence Van Zee added seven kills and 10 digs. Avery DeVries logged 34 assists, 20 digs and five aces. Bon Homme (2-4): Jenae Alberts recorded 12 kills and 14 digs. McKenzie Carson posted nine kills, eight digs and three blocks. Jenna Duffek had 10 assists and 14 digs. Jaden Kortan finished with 13 assists, four kills, three blocks and three digs. Olivia Bures posted 24 digs, five kills and three aces. Hannah Cuka added four kills, four blocks, three digs and two aces. The Cavaliers play Centerville on Monday in Tyndall.

ALEXANDRIA --Mount Vernon/Plankinton picked up its third win of the season with a sweep over Hanson on Thursday. Set scores were 25-12, 25-29 and 26-24.

Mount Vernon/Plankinton (3-2): Shyla Tobin recorded 23 assists for the Titans. Jocelyn Manzano added 11 digs and two aces. Maria Baker finished with 10 kills in the win. The Titans travel to Redfield on Monday.

Hanson (1-4): Grace Weber chipped in seven kills and four blocks, while Annaylse Weber added 13 digs and six kills. Jalyn Kampshoff recorded 18 assists and eight digs. Abby Kortan and Skylar Holm finished with 11 and 10 digs, respectively. The Beavers play in the Bridgewater-Emery tournament on Sept. 19.

MONTROSE -- McCook Central/Montrose swept Flandreau to open the Big East Conference tournament on Thursday. Set scores were 25-9, 25-17 and 25-17.

McCook Central/Montrose (2-4): Riley Morrison led the Fighting Cougars with 14 digs and four aces, while Michaela McCormick added six kills and four aces. Maggie Miles dished out 12 assists and Ashtyn Wobig served three aces. Madisen Koepsell and Tayah Mcgregor both put down eight kills. CHAMBERLAIN -- After a close first set, Parkston cruised to a straight set win over Chamberlain on Thursday. Set scores were 26-24, 25-13 and 25-18.

Parkston (6-1): Faith Oakley finished with 12 assists and six aces in the win. Emma Yost put down a team-high nine kills, while Maggie Baumgart recorded five kills and two blocks. C.C. Neugebauer added eight assists and Mya Nuebel finished with 11 digs. Tiah Holzbauer recorded eight digs. The Trojans host Corsica-Stickney on Tuesday.

MILLER -- Class A No. 3 Winner dropped the first set, but rattled off three straight wins for a four-set win over Miller on Thursday. Set scores were 26-28, 25-6, 25-10 and 25-20.

Miller (1-3): Storm Johnsen recorded a team-high 14 kills, 13 digs and two aces. Alvena Batin dished out 25 assists, while Kathryn Aymar finished with 13 digs. The Rustlers play Potter County on Saturday in Gettysburg.

ELKTON -- Elkton-Lake Benton knocked off Howard in straight sets on Thursday. Set scores were 25-16, 25-16 and 25-20.

Bridgewater-Emery (5-0): Julia Weber recorded 13 kills and 17 digs, while Kerrigan Schultz chipped in 21 assists, seven kills, seven digs and three aces.
