ETHAN -- After dropping the first set, Ethan rattled off three straight wins and topped Kimball/White Lake in high school volleyball action on Tuesday. Set scores were 24-26, 25-22, 25-16 and 25-12.

Ethan (1-1): Ava Lingemann and Hannah Bartscher led the way with seven and six kills, respectively. Bartscher added three blocks. Lexi Lingemann also had three blocks. Maddy Bartscher and Payton Riggs dished out nine and six assists, respectively. The Rustlers play Sanborn Central/Woonsocket on Thursday in Forestburg.

Kimball/White Lake (1-1): Kennedy Leiferman and Dani Deffenbaugh finished with 12 kills and eight kills, respectively. Ryann Nielsen dished out 24 assists, while Alison Sinclair posted six kills and three aces. The WiLdKats play Burke on Thursday in Kimball.

Avon 3, Parkston 2

PARKSTON -- Avon won a back-and-forth five-set match over Parkston for its first win of the year on Tuesday. Set scores were 26-24, 22-25, 16-25, 29-27 and 15-2.

Avon (0-3): Tiffany Pelton stuffed the stat sheet with 14 kills, six digs and four blocks. McKenna Kocmich served four aces to go with 17 assists and five digs. Reese Powers added 16 assists and eight digs. Shalayne Nagel put down 10 kills and had four blocks. The Pirates play Andes Central/Dakota Christian on Thursday in Lake Andes.

Parkston (3-1): Faith Oakley finished with 22 assists. Baylee Schoenfelder added 15 digs, while Maggie Baumgart added 18 kills, nine digs and three blocks. C.C. Neugebauer recorded 18 assists and Brielle Bruening added nine kills. The Trojans play Hanson on Thursday in Alexandria.

Wessington Springs 3, Iroquois/Doland 1

WESSINGTON SPRINGS -- Wessington Springs dropped the third set to Iroquois/Doland, but bounced back to win in four sets on Tuesday. Set scores were 25-18, 26-24, 15-25 and 25-21.

Wessington Springs (1-1): Trinity Flowers recorded 12 kills and seven aces. Alyssa Grohs dished out 20 assists, while Angie Pualson added 21 digs. Grace Gran chipped in 19 digs. The Spartans play Bridgewater-Emery on Thursday in Emery.

Iroquois/Doland (1-2): Harley Nelson served four aces and dished out 39 assists. Jorja Huls and Kaylee Morehead finished with 11 and 10 digs, respectively. The Chiefs play Aberdeen Christian on Thursday in Doland.

TRIPP -- Tripp-Delmont/Armour earned its first win of the season on Tuesday as it took down Menno. Set scores were 25-21, 25-20 and 25-15.

Tripp-Delmont/Armour (1-2): Faith Werkmeister finished with 10 kills and three aces. Gracey Shatz put down 13 kills, while Hannah Stremick recorded 15 assists, six kills and two aces. Bailey Spaans recorded 15 assists, 12 digs and three aces. Emma Fink finished with 13 digs. The Nighthawks travel to Avon on Sept. 8.

Menno (1-1): Kylie Harriman finished with seven kills and 10 digs in the loss. Jesse Munkvold added a team-high 24 digs. Kaylie Schempp recorded eight digs. The Wolves play Freeman Academy/Marion on Thursday in Marion.

Bon Homme 3, ACDC 1

LAKE ANDES -- Bon Homme notched a four-set win over Andes Central/Dakota Christian on Tuesday. Set scores were 25-21, 25-15, 25-27 and 25-12.

Bon Homme (2-1): Olivia Bures finished with 14 digs, eight aces, four kills and three blocks. Jenna Duffek chipped in 12 assists and nine digs. Jenae Alberts added 10 digs, while Mckenzie Carson served five aces. Jaden Kortan recorded eight assists, six digs and three aces in the win. The Cavaliers play Mount Vernon/Plankinton on Thursday in Mount Vernon.

Andes Central/Dakota Christian (0-1): Mackenzie Muckey recorded team highs of 11 kills, 15 digs and three aces. Allison Muckey dished out 13 assists. Baylee Johnson added nine digs. The Thunder play Avon on Thursday in Lake Andes.

Winner 3, Burke 0

WINNER -- Class A No. 3 Winner earned its second win of the season on Tuesday by defeating Burke in straight sets. Set scores were 25-12, 25-19 and 25-16.

Winner (2-0): Mackenzie Levi finished with 35 assists, while Ellie Brozik added 19 kills and three aces. Kalla Bertram chipped in 14 digs, 11 kills and three aces. Maggie LaCompte finished with 14 digs, while Jenna Hammerbeck added 15 digs. Shannon Calhoon had three blocks. The Warriors travel to Valentine, Nebraska, on Thursday.

Burke (0-2): Adisyn Indahl recorded 15 digs and seven kills. Ramee Hanson recorded a team-high 16 digs, while Bobbi Jo Wischmann dished out 14 assists. The Cougars play Kimball/White Lake on Thursday in Kimball.

EMERY -- Bridgewater-Emery took down Howard in straight sets in prep volleyball action on Tuesday. Set scores were 25-19, 25-15 and 25-22.

Bridgewater-Emery (3-0): Julia Weber led the way with nine kills and 21 digs. Taylor Schallenkamp added seven kills and two blocks. Kerrigan Schultz recorded six kills, 16 assists, five digs and two aces. Morgan Uptagrafft added eight kills, while Kaitlyn Roskens finished with 11 assists and seven digs. Sanborn Central/Woonsocket (1-1): Morgan Schmiedt dished out 20 assists. Ellie Voneye served four aces to go with 11 digs in the win. Brooke Doering finished with a team-high eight kills. FREEMAN -- Freeman earned a straight set win over Irene-Wakonda on Tuesday. Set scores were 25-13, 25-20 and 25-20.

Freeman (2-0): Rijjy Peterson recorded eight kills, five digs and five aces. Odalite Pankratz put down eight kills to go with seven digs and five assists. Lily Wipf dished out 13 assists and served three aces. The Flyers travel to Howard on Thursday.

Irene-Wakonda (0-3): Willa Freeman recorded 20 digs. Emma McDonald finished with 16 digs and four kills. Katie Knodel added 10 digs. Emma Orr and Nora O’Malley both put down six kills, while McKenna Mork added 11 assists and seven digs. The Eagles travel to Canton on Thursday.

CORSICA -- Corsica-Stickney swept Freeman Academy/Marion in prep volleyball action on Tuesday. Set scores were 25-9, 25-2 and 26-24.

Corsica-Stickney (1-1): Paige Wright led the Jaguars with five kills and two digs. Raven Barse, Morgan DeLange and Avery Broughton finished with four kills apiece. Barse added three digs. Camden Plooster recorded 12 assists, two digs and two aces. Morgan Clites finished with eight digs. The Jaguars travel to Centerville on Thursday.

CHESTER -- Class A No. 4 Chester Area topped McCook Central/Montrose in four sets in a high school volleyball match on Tuesday. Set scores were 25-20, 25-13, 25-27 and 25-15.

Chester Area (3-0): Breckyn Ewoldt finished with 14 kills and two aces. Ella Pry recorded nine kills and two blocks. Kenna Brown posted 39 assists and Emery Larson finished with 36 digs. Karly Campbell added 21 digs. The Flyers host Baltic on Sept. 8.

McCook Central/Montrose (1-2): Madisen Koepsell led the way with 11 kills and eight total blocks. Katelyn Lueth finished with nine kills. Maggie Miles added 29 assists and 24 digs. Riley Morrison and Ashtyn Wobig finished with 24 and 17 digs, respectively. The Fighting Cougars play Parker on Thursday in Montrose.

SCOTLAND -- Alcester-Hudson downed Scotland in prep volleyball play on Tuesday. Set scores were 25-19, 18-25, 25-13 and 25-19.

Scotland (1-1): Kennedy Bietz finished with 14 kills and 22 digs. Delanie VanDriel added eight kills and eight digs. Grace Fryda posted five kills and 26 digs. Chamberlain (1-0): Mya Knippling finished with 13 kills and three blocks. Chynna Story recorded a team-high 10 digs, while Emma Powers and Kiera Eichstadt both dished out 18 assists in the win. Caycee Guinn added three blocks. Jayslee Petersen and Jayd Chmela both served six aces. The Cubs travel to Wagner on Thursday.
