SALEM -- McCook Central/Montrose edged Wagner in a five-set marathon match on Saturday in prep volleyball action. Set scores were 25-19, 19-25, 25-19, 25-27 and 15-9.

MCM (1-1): Ashtyn Wobig led MCM with 13 kills, 15 digs and three blocks. Courtney Vander Woude put down 11 kills, while Katelyn Lueth added nine kills. Madisen Koepsell finished with six kills and six blocks. Maggie Miles dished out 38 assists and four aces. Riley Morrison recorded 35 digs and four aces. Aubree Kranz also notched four aces. MCM plays at Chester on Tuesday.

Wagner (1-1): Abby Brunsing notched a double-double with 21 kills and 20 digs. Avari Bruguier added 11 digs and nine kills. Kya Kjeldgaard finished with six kills and five blocks. Shona Kocer put down six kills. Macy Koupal added 23 assists and 14 digs. Paige Petry logged 14 digs and nine assists. Olivia Breen added 16 digs. Wagner hosts Chamberlain on Thursday.

Parkston 3, Arlington 2

PARKSTON -- Parkston outlasted Arlington in five sets in high school volleyball action on Saturday. Set scores were 13-25, 27-25, 25-23, 14-25 and 15-7.

Parkston (3-0): Maggie Baumgart led the Trojans with 11 kills, while Emma Yost added nine kills and 18 digs. C.C. Neugebauer added 16 assists and 11 digs. Faith Oakley dished out 15 assists and had two aces. Brielle Bruening recorded four blocks and Baylee Schoenfelder had three aces. Mya Nuebel had 18 digs and two aces. Parkston hosts Avon on Tuesday.

Arlington (0-1): Hadley Carlson put down 31 kills and had eight aces. Grace Parry dished out 44 assists and had three aces. Arlington plays Wolsey-Wessington on Monday in Wolsey.

Mobridge-Pollock 3, Chamberlain 0

MOBRIDGE -- Mobridge-Pollock swept Chamberlain in a Big Dakota Conference volleyball match on Saturday. Set scores were 25-17, 25-10 and 25-14.

Mobridge-Pollock (1-0): Channing Wientjes finished with nine kills, while Callie Weisbeck recorded 14 assists and nine digs. Emma Keller added 11 assists and Emily Wientjes finished with 17 digs. Mobridge-Pollock hosts Herreid/Selby Area on Tuesday.

Chamberlain (0-1): Mya Knippling and Caylee Guinn finished with three kills apiece. Jayslee Petersen recorded three aces, while Kiera Eichstadt and Emma Powers recorded two assists apiece. Powers added 10 digs. Chamberlain hosts Stanley County on Tuesday.
