WHITE LAKE -- Mount Vernon/Plankinton knocked off Kimball/White Lake 3-1 in a prep volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-14, 25-18, 23-25 and 25-17.

Mount Vernon/Plankinton (3-3): Katlyn Briggs led the Titans with eight kills and five blocks. Regan Klooz dished out 16 assists and Rebecca Gerlach added 11 digs. The Titans play Hanson on Thursday in Plankinton.

Kimball/White Lake (0-4): Dani Deffenbaugh finished with 10 kills, 14 digs and one block. Grace Konechne added 14 kills and 13 digs. Ryann Nielsen contributed 21 assists and two aces. The WiLdKats play Winner on Thursday in Kimball.

SCW 3, Wessington Springs 2

WESSINGTON SPRINGS -- Sanborn Central/Woonsocket and Wessington Springs went back and forth, but the Blackhawks took control late for 281 Conference victory, 23-25, 25-19, 23-25, 25-18 and 15-12.

Sanborn Central/Woonsocket (4-4): Mariah Jost put down 19 kills, while Taryn Ziebart added 14 assists, 22 digs and three aces. Cassidy Slykhuis had nine kills and three blocks, Morgan Schmiedt had 25 assists and Trista White pitched in eight kills. The Blackhawks play Oldham-Ramona/Rutland on Saturday in Rutland.

Wessington Springs (1-4): Grace Gran had 23 digs, 12 kills and four blocks in defeat and Makayla Dornbusch added 11 kills and three blocks. Alyssa Grohs added 18 assists and three aces. The Spartans host Crow Creek on Thursday.

Hanson 3, Canistota 1

ALEXANDRIA -- Hanson rebounded after dropping the second set to Canistota, winning the match in four sets on Tuesday. Set scores were 25-22, 23-25, 25-21 and 25-17.

Hanson (4-3): Hanna Robinson finished with a team-high 26 digs for the Beavers. Abby Kortan stuffed the stat sheet with 15 assists, two digs and two kills. Andrea Thelen, Elizabeth Arend and Josie Bartscher all had six kills, while Jalyn Kampshoff served a trio of aces. The Beavers play Mount Vernon/Plankinton on Thursday in Plankinton.

Canistota (4-5): Hannah Parry finished with 11 assists, five digs, three kills and three aces in the loss. Skylar Bultje added three kills and two blocks for the Hawks. Mykkah Krinke finished with eight assists and three kills, while Lexi Tieszen added six digs. The Hawks play in the Bridgewater-Emery tournament on Saturday in Bridgewater.

LAKE ANDES -- Andes Central/Dakota Christian won the first set, but Scotland rallied for a convincing second-set win that paved the way for a Little Missouri Valley Conference win, 19-25, 25-9, 25-16 and 25-16.

Scotland (3-2): Delanie VanDriel had seven kills and 19 digs, while Bella Vitek put down nine kills. Kennedy Bietz had five kills and 16 digs and Rylee Conrad had 25 assists, six digs and three aces. The Highlanders play in the Bridgewater-Emery tournament on Saturday in Bridgewater.

Andes Central/Dakota Christian (2-6): Anna Medicine Horn had 16 assists and nine digs in defeat, while Mackenzie Muckey had six kills and five digs. Melanie Mudder and Isabel Pheifer had 17 and 12 digs, respectively. The Thunder play in the Bon Homme tournament on Saturday in Tyndall.

Wagner 3, Avon 1

AVON -- Wagner edged Avon in a prep volleyball marathon on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-27, 30-28, 26-24 and 25-14.

Wagner (6-2): Abby Brunsing led the Red Raiders with 27 kills, 19 digs and three aces. Lizzie Tyler added nine kills and 18 digs. Kayli Kocer finished with seven kills and 13 digs. Emilea Cimpl dished out 42 assists and added nine digs. The Red Raiders play in the Bon Homme tournament on Saturday in Tyndall.

Avon (4-3): Madisyn Cameron led the Pirates with 17 assists and nine digs. Maddie Kocmich finished with eight kills and 12 digs. Katie Gretschmann handed out 29 assists. The Pirates play in the Bon Homme tournament on Saturday in Tyndall.

CORSICA -- Parkston knocked off Corsica-Stickney in a prep volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-16, 25-17, 17-25 and 25-20.

Parkston (6-4): Maggie Baumgart and Emma Yost both had 10 kills apiece. Baumgart finished with nine digs. Amber Albrecht finished with 26 digs and nine kills. Izzy Hohn recorded 32 assists, 16 digs and four aces. Allison Ziebart notched 24 digs, while Sydney Wickersham recorded 14 digs. The Trojans host Lennox on Thursday.

Corsica-Stickney (2-2): Morgan DeLange put down 12 kills, while Jenna Bamberg finished with seven kills. Camden Plooster finished with 18 assists, while Marisa DeLange added 13 assists. TRIPP -- Tripp-Delmont/Armour didn’t drop a set on Tuesday as it swept Bon Homme in prep volleyball action. Set scores were 25-15, 25-12 and 25-21.

Tripp-Delmont/Armour (3-1): Bailey Spaans dished out a team-high six assists for the Nighthawks, while Hannah Stremick and Hope Neugebauer served six and five aces, respectively. Ally Bertram added five digs and Kianna Payer put down six kills in the win. The Nighthawks play Freeman on Thursday in Tripp.

Bon Homme (1-5): Johanna Jelsma finished with eight assists and two aces. McKenzie Carson added five kills and Ciera Himes recorded eight kills and seven digs for the Cavaliers. Jenae Alberts and Abby Crites had seven digs apiece. The Cavaliers play Irene-Wakonda on Thursday in Wakonda.

Wolsey-Wessington (3-2): Mya Boomsma finished with 10 kills, six digs and two aces. Carly Manrani had 16 digs, nine kills and three aces. Chantel Haider added 11 digs and Hailey Clarke dished out 18 assists. The Warbirds play Aberdeen Central on Thursday in Wolsey.

TODD COUNTY -- Chamberlain held Todd County under 20 points in all three sets as it swept the Falcons on Tuesday. Set scores were 25-17, 25-17 and 25-16.

Chamberlain (7-3): Taylor Toering had 11 digs to go with three aces for the Cubs. Maggy Pickner and Hannah Anderson both had a team-high 10 kills, while Pickner added two blocks. Makenzy Mutziger dished out 11 assists in the win. The Cubs play in the Stanley County tournament in Fort Pierre on Saturday.

Todd County (1-7): Statistics were not reported. The Falcons play Little Wound on Thursday in Kyle.

Howard 3, Menno 0

HOWARD -- Howard was able to win the first two sets by three points apiece before pulling away from Menno in the third for a Cornbelt Conference win, 25-22, 25-22 and 25-16.

Howard (3-3): Madison Kizer had eight kills and two blocks, while Emma Rudebusch handed out nine assists and served three aces. Mia Glanzer also had seven assists and Katelyn Feldhaus had four blocks. The Tigers travel to Chester Area on Thursday.

Menno (2-3): Jesse Munkvold had five kills and 10 digs, while Trinity Kocourek had four kills. Kylie Harriman had four assists and nine digs.The Wolves host Viborg-Hurley on September 24.

Bridgewater-Emery 3, Freeman 1

EMERY -- Bridgewater-Emery shook off a first-set loss to Freeman to take the next three in Cornbelt Conference competition, 18-25, 25-18, 25-22 and 25-18.

Bridgewater-Emery (4-1): Kerrigan Schultz had 16 assists, six kills and six digs, while Haley Schulz had eight kills and three blocks and Julia Weber had eight kills and 14 digs. Sophia Potter also had 18 assists and Taylor Schallenkamp and Cylie Kressman had six kills apiece. The Huskies play Viborg-Hurley on Thursday in Viborg.

Freeman (6-2): Rijjy Peterson stuffed the stat sheet with 11 digs, 10 kills, six aces and three blocks for the Flyers. Emily Miller added 17 kills and eight digs, while Oddy Pankratz finished with seven kills and four aces. Ava Ammann dished out a team-best 21 assists and Cara Maske added 10 assists. Jamie Glanzer recorded eight digs in the loss. The Flyers play Tripp-Delmont/Armour on Thursday in Tripp.
