VERMILLION - University of South Dakota officials announced Thursday that the Coyotes' football opener at New Mexico has been moved up two days to Sept. 1, the Thursday prior to Labor Day.
The game will be played at 8 p.m. Central in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It's the first time the Coyotes have played on Thursday night in seven years and the first-ever meeting between the Lobos and Yotes.
As of now, the game is not scheduled to be televised locally.
