Dakota Wesleyan University softball player Hailey Unger became the program's all-time hits leader and was named the Great Plains Athletic Conference player of the week on Tuesday.
Unger broke Nicole Haley's career hits record (166) with a single in the third inning against Northwestern. She now holds the DWU career record for runs (100), doubles (36), home runs (18) and RBIs (101).
On the season, Unger is hitting .395 with four home runs, 16 RBIs and 11 doubles.
DWU plays South Dakota State University in a doubleheader at 3 p.m. on Thursday in Brookings.
