SIOUX FALLS - Mitchell's Max Tupper won the consolation title in the Huether Family Match Pointe Blizzard Classic tennis tournament Friday-Sunday in Sioux Falls.
Competing in the boys 16-and-under division, Tupper lost in the first round to Sioux Falls' Gavin Schmidt in the opening round 6-2, 6-2. Tupper rebounded to defeat Watertown's Jared Dale in the consolation semifinals 6-1, 7-6(8) and defeated Drew Veflin, of Watertown, 5-7, 6-3, 10-7 in the consolation final.
