BURKE -- Winner racked up 270 points to win the girls track and field team championship at the Meet of Legends on Tuesday.

Second-place Burke totaled 244 points, while Kimball/White Lake was third with 214 points. Gregory placed fourth with 132 points and Platte-Geddes was fifth with 110 points.

Winner’s Kalla Bertram and Kelsey Sachtjen each won three events. Bertram raced to a win in the 400-meter dash in 1 minute, 2.65 seconds, while Sachtjen won the high jump at 4, 11 inches, edging Gregory’s Asia VanDerWerff on attempts.

Bertram and Sachtjen teamed with Skyler Hansen and Keelie Kuil to win the 4x200 relay in 1 minute, 51.90 seconds. Bertram, Sachtjen, Kuil and Kendyl Bachmann also won the 4x400 relay in 4 minutes, 24.21 seconds.

Winner’s Jenna Hammerbeck won the long jump with a leap of 14 feet, 9 inches and took the triple jump with a jump of 31 feet, 7 1/4 inches. Jenaya Schrader also won the shot put with a heave of 34 feet, 11 inches.

Burke’s Hallie Person won the 1,600 (5:32.95) and 3,200 meters (11:53.26), while also winning the 4x800 relay (10:36.66) with Kailee Frank, Brecken Bolander and Bridget Bartling. Piper Hanson won the 100 hurdles in 17.62 seconds and Paige Bull captured the discus with a throw of 97 feet, 6 inches.

KWL’s Kennedy Leiferman was a triple winner, taking the 100 (13.46 seconds), the 200 (27.95 seconds) and joined Dani Deffenbaugh, Ryann Grussing and Christine Gaulke to win the sprint medley relay in 4 minutes, 27.83 seconds. Sidney McCord also won the 300 hurdles in 52.05 seconds.

Gregory’s Emma Thomas won the 800 in 2 minutes, 26.83 seconds and the Platte-Geddes 4x100 relay team of Carly Reiser, Kally Millar, Avery Devries, Regan Hoffman raced to a win in 54.74 seconds.

Platte-Geddes won the boys team title with 226 points, besting second-place Winner’s 184 points. Burke was third with 169.32 points, Gregory was fourth 142 points and Kimball/White Lake was fifth with 132.66 points.

Platte-Geddes’ Joey Foxley won the long jump with a leap of 18 feet, 5 3/4 inches, while joining Nathan Berens, Aiden Bultje and Chase Varilek to win the 4x100 relay in 46.31 seconds.

Winner’s Aaron Monk swept the hurdles, winning the 110 hurdles in 16.30 seconds and the 300 in 44.79 seconds. Adam Bohnet also won the 200 in 23.96 seconds, while joining Aiden Barfuss, Michael Olson and Joey Cole to win the 4x200 relay in 1 minute, 34.93 seconds.

Kade Watson also won the 1,600 (4:32.77) for the Warriors, while Preston Norrid won the discus with a throw of 132 feet, 10 inches.

Burke’s Sawyer Tietgen won the triple jump with a leap of 37 feet, 9 1/4 inches, while Ben Witt took the high jump (5 feet, 8 inches). Tietgen, Witt, Bryce Frank and Taron Serr won the sprint medley in 3 minutes, 49.91 seconds.

Gregory’s Kade Stukel won the 100 in 11.82 seconds and also joined Reece Odenbach, Carson Klundt and Luke Sinclair to win the 4x400 relay in 3 minutes, 43.74 seconds. Gannon Thomas, Klundt, Pierce Stukel and Sinclair won the 4x800 relay in 9 minutes, 11.27 seconds.

KWL’s Dawson Miller won the 800 (2:08.87) and Warren Soulek won the shot put (43 feet, 9 1/2 inches). Colome’s Riley Shippy won the 400 (53.69 seconds) and Joseph Laprath won the 3,200 (11:08.29).
