Tigers play Defenders to a draw in GPAC opener

The Dakota Wesleyan University men’s soccer team was eight minutes from taking down Dordt in its Great Plains Athletic Conference opener on Wednesday.

After Edgar Meza scored less than 10 minutes into the second half, the Tigers were on their way to a win, until Patrick Munsey tied the game with less than eight minutes to play and the game ended in a 1-1 tie at the Pepsi-Cola Soccer Complex.

DWU (1-2-2, 0-0-1 GPAC) plays Morningside at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday in Sioux City, Iowa
