DAKOTA DUNES-The Dakota Wesleyan University men's golf team took fifth place at the Briar Cliff University mini tour on Tuesday in Dakota Dunes.
DWU finished with a two-day score of 622 at the 12-team event. The Tigers carded a 292 on Tuesday, which was the third lowest team score of the day.
Tom Hogg led the Tigers with a sixth-place finish. Hogg carded the lowest score on Tuesday with a 68 and finished with a two-day final score of 149. DWU's Tyler Burr and Anthony Husher each tied for 23rd with scores of 157, while Cal Wiese finished in 38th with a 160 and Michael Whitney rounded out the team score with a 169.
Competing as individuals for DWU were Elliott Banks, Russell Pick, who was tied for first after Monday's round, and Gabe Dirksen. Banks tied for 12th (153), Pick took 22nd (156) and Dirksen tied for 52nd (167).
DWU competes at the TigerBro Match, a dual match against Hastings College, on Saturday at in Hastings, Neb.
