Young scores 16 in SDSU’s exhibition win

BROOKINGS - South Dakota State University guard/forward and Mitchell native Kerri Young scored 16 points in the Jackrabbits’ 82-60 exhibition win over Minnesota State University-Mankato Friday.
Young made 2 of 3 3-pointers and was 7-of-14 from the field and had three rebounds, one block and one steal.
Forward Megan Waytashek led SDSU, which shot 42.9 percent from the floor, with 22 points and seven rebounds.
The Jackrabbits begin their regular season schedule against Brigham Young University at 4 p.m. Friday in Provo, Utah.

DWU’s Elizabeth Humiston had 10 kills and Maggie Stehly added 17 digs.
