HARRISBURG-The Mitchell High School boys basketball team couldn't overcome a 29-point third quarter the Harrisburg on Saturday.

The Kernels trailed just 26-25 at halftime, but the Tigers erupted for 29 points in the third quarter and secured a 66-52 Eastern South Dakota Conference win.

Mitchell's Caden Hinker tossed in 25 points for the Kernels. Harrisburg's Nick Hoyt scored 22 points, while Isaac Brower scored 15. Blair Slaughter tossed in 14 points.

The Kernels (1-13) host Sioux Falls O'Gorman on Tuesday at the Corn Palace.
