SIOUX CITY, Iowa -- Hallie Misiaszek was named to the NAIA All-American honorable mention squad on Tuesday. The standout pitcher became Morningside College’s 12th All-American in program history.

The Mitchell native was a key part in Morningside’s run to the NAIA national tournament. The Mustangs went 31-11 this season, and won the Great Plains Athletic Conference tournament.

Misiaszek had 24 complete games in 31 starts (33 games), compiling a 1.45 ERA to go with 132 strikeouts in 193 1/3 innings. She ranked 16th nationally in wins (23) and 21st in both ERA and innings pitched.

The senior, who was granted a fifth year of eligibility for next season, also earned all-GPAC first-team honors for a second straight season.
