With four goals in the third period, the Sioux Falls Flyers West defeated the Mitchell Marlins boys hockey team 5-2 on Friday in Mitchell.

Five separate players for the Flyers had goals in the contest.

Jacob Thill had two goals for the Marlins. Spencer Neugebauer and Jake Jarman each had an assist in the loss. Mitchell goalie Joshua Loecker had 24 saves.

Mitchell outshot Sioux Falls 29-25.

Mitchell (6-10) hosts the Sioux Falls Flyers East today in Mitchell.
