Sioux Falls will host the American Legion Baseball Central Plains Regional Tournament in 2019 and 2020, the city announced on Wednesday.

The tournaments will be played at Sioux Falls Stadium. The 2019 tournament will be Aug. 7-11, while the 2020 event will be Aug. 5-9. The Region 6 tournament includes teams from Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota.

Sioux Falls Post 15 will be the host organization for the tournament, along with the Sioux Empire Baseball Association. The winner of the South Dakota Class A State Legion tournament traditionally receives an automatic bid to the Central Plains Regional Tournament.
