SDSU's Greger named to all-MVFC team

BROOKINGS -- The South Dakota State University football team had 10 players named to the all-Missouri Valley Football Conference team, announced by league officials Monday.

BROOKINGS -- The South Dakota State University football team had 10 players named to the all-Missouri Valley Football Conference team, announced by league officials Monday.

Jackrabbit senior tackle and Wagner native Trevor Greger joined teammates, senior running back Zach Zenner and freshman wide receiver Jake Wieneke, as members on the all-MVFC first team.

Greger has started 11 of 12 regular season games this year at right tackle and helped pave the way for Zenner's 1,634 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns. Greger has also started 40 of the last 41 games for the Jackrabbits.

The Jackrabbits had four players earn second-team all-conference honors, while three others were honorable mention selections.

Three University of South Dakota players were named honorable mention all-MVFC.

SDSU takes on No. 2 seed North Dakota State University in the second round of the Football Championship Subdivision playoffs at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Fargo.
