BROOKINGS-The South Dakota State University men's basketball team picked up its first win under first-year head coach T.J. Otzelberger on Wednesday at Frost Arena in Brookings.
The Jackrabbits defeated Division II Wayne State 80-72.
Mike Daum scored a game-high 24 points and added 12 rebounds for a double-double, while Skyler Flatten added 15 points and Tevin King and Cole Gentry each chipped in nine points.
SDSU went 23-of-54 from the field for 42.6 percent shooting and won the rebounding battle 41-24.
SDSU (1-2) plays Wyoming on Saturday in Laramie, Wyoming.
