BROOKINGS (AP) -- South Dakota State University has set a record for football season ticket sales, with the home opener still more than four months away.
The school says 2,610 season tickets had been sold as of Wednesday. The previous record was 2,583 tickets last season. Officials say sales have risen for five straight years.
The Jackrabbits 2012 home schedule has five games, starting with a matchup against UC Davis on Sept. 15.
