The South Dakota Golf Association is currently taking registrations for the 37th Annual Men's Mid-Amateur State Championship, which will be held June 4-5 at Wild Oak Golf Course in Mitchell.
The championship is open to players age 25 and older on the first day of competition. The field is limited to 144 players and automatic qualifiers include any SDGA champions since 2000 and the low 40 finishers from last year's mid-amateur tournament. If there are more than 144 entrants, an 18-hole qualifying round would be held June 3 at Wild Oak.
The championship is pre-flighted and flights are determined by handicap index. Players must have an active handicap index from five 18-hole rounds at a South Dakota golf club in the last 12 months.
The entry fee is $110 and the deadline is 6 p.m. Wednesday. The tournament will be 36 holes, with the lowest score winning, regardless of flight.
