BROOKINGS -- The South Dakota State University women's basketball team routed the University of Arkansas at Little Rock on Thursday at Frost Arena.

Former Mitchell Kernels Kerri Young and Macy Miller each finished with 10 points and four rebounds for the Jackrabbits, who won 67-42. SDSU had three other players score in double digits, as Mariah Clarin and Ellie Thompson each had 12 points.

The Jackrabbits shot 48 percent from the field, 36 percent from the three-point range and 80 percent from the line, while out rebounding the Trojans 47-24.

UALR was led by Shanity James with 17 points and six rebounds.

SDSU (9-3) play Marist at noon Sunday in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.

Coyote women set school record in 115-51 win

VERMILLION -- The University of South Dakota women's basketball team set a school record for points in a game after crushing Saint Mary (Kan.) 115-51 on Thursday in the DakotaDome.

The Coyotes (8-2) shot 57 percent from the field and made 13 3-pointers in the non-conference win.

USD's Jaylah Jackson led all scorers with 20 points as the Coyotes had seven different players score in double figures.

South Dakota plays the University of North Dakota on Sunday in Vermillion.

South Dakota State beats Idaho State 75-72 in OT

LOGAN, Utah (AP) - Deondre Parks scored 15 points and hit the winning free throw with 34 second to play in overtime Thursday to lift South Dakota State over Idaho State 75-72 in a World Vision Classic game.

Parks opened OT with a 3-pointer and his second of two free throws put the Jackrabbits up 73-67. The Bengals had chances to tie or win, but missed free throws and Evann Hall's 3-point try at the buzzer went awry.

South Dakota State led 30-25 at halftime, but the Bengals rallied in the second half and led 60-58 before Jake Bittle hit two free throws to tie it at the end of regulation.

Cody Larson scored 17, Marshall scored 15, and Connor Devine had 13 and three blocked shots for the Jackrabbits (7-3).

Jeffrey Solarin led Idaho State (4-5) with 22 and 10 rebounds and Chris Hansen scored 21.

Bos' shot gives South Dakota 55-53 win over Montana State

VERMILLION (AP) - Brandon Bos hit a 15-foot jump shot with two seconds remaining to give South Dakota a 55-53 victory over Montana State on Thursday night.

Marcus Colbert's 3-pointer had lifted Montana State into a tie with 36 seconds left.

Bos finished with 17 points while Tyler Larson added 12 points, including 8-of-10 shooting from the free-throw line, and 11 rebounds for his fifth double-double this season. Trey Norris scored 10 points for the Coyotes (4-8), who snapped a four-game losing streak.

Colbert led Montana State with 21 points. The Bobcats (3-6), playing in Vermillion for the first time since 1946, remained winless in six road games.

Bos hit three consecutive 3-pointers to give the Coyotes a 36-28 lead with 16 minutes left. The lead held until the 5:32 mark when Colbert made a 3-pointer for a 44-43 MSU lead. Neither team led by more than four after that.
