TYNDALL-Freeman Academy/Marion's Thaniel Schroeder recorded a second-place finish at the Bon Homme Invitational on Monday.
Schroeder logged a time of 17-minutes and 23 seconds, finishing second to Beresford's Alec Atwood (17:10).
Beresford won the boys team title with 12 points, while Freeman Academy/Marion finished second with 28 points.
Caden Tegethoff, of Platte-Geddes, finished third in 18:35. Mitchell Christian's Alec Nelson placed fourth with a time of 18:40.
On the girls side, Hartington-Newcastle, Nebraska, won with 12 points. Beresford placed second with 22 points.

Gayville-Volin's Maddy Fairley won the race in 20:13. Andes Central/Dakota Christian's Isabella Brouwer (21:14) took second, while Gregory's Emma Thomas (23:05) finished fourth.
