Michael Schmitz has resigned as the Huron High School football coach.
Schmitz has been head coach for the past four years and led to the Tigers to the Class 11AA state title game at the DakotaDome in 2018. The Tigers finished with a 6-6 record and runner-up finish in 2018.
Schmitz plans to remain in the Huron School District as a teacher and coach. A search to find a replacement will begin immediately.
