Sabers in second for Tiger women's golf

ORANGE CITY, Iowa -- Dakota Wesleyan University golfer Kristin Sabers is tied for second after one round at the Northwestern/Doane women's Invite, played Thursday at Landsmeer Golf Club in Orange City, Iowa.

ORANGE CITY, Iowa - Dakota Wesleyan University golfer Kristin Sabers is tied for second after one round at the Northwestern/Doane women's Invite, played Thursday at Landsmeer Golf Club in Orange City, Iowa.

A Mitchell native, Sabers shot a round of 84. Teammate Madison Van Wellegen shot 101, good for 28th after 18 holes for the Tigers, who are not competing as a team. Northwestern's Mikayla Christensen shot an 83 for a one-shot individual lead after 18 holes. Briar Cliff leads the team competition with a score of 336.
