Trio of Kernels win three matches in Sioux Falls quadrangular

Seth Foote, Connor Degen and Carson Podhradsky recorded three wins apiece as Mitchell competed against Sioux Falls Jefferson, Rapid City Central and West Central.

SIOUX FALLS — Seth Foote, Connor Degen and Carson Podhradsky each picked up three wins for the Mitchell High School wrestling team on Monday at a quadrangular.

Mitchell defeated Sioux Falls Jefferson 42-36 in team dual action, but lost to West Central 53-21 and fell to Rapid City Central 49-27.

Degen and Foote each had three pins on the day for the Kernels. Podhradsky had pins against Jefferson and West Central and defeated his Rapid City Central opponent 7-3.

Sean Foote recorded two pins, while Van Johnson, Jagger Tyler, Cruze Allhiser and Denen Ellwein also had wins by fall on the night.

Mitchell is in action next on Dec. 29 in a dual against Aberdeen Central on the road.
