Trio of area coaches named South Dakota high school track and field coaches of year

Coaches from Burke, Hanson and Mount Vernon/Plankinton walked away with track and field coach of the year honors.

MITCHELL — The 2022 South Dakota high school track and field coaches of the year have officially been announced.

In Area 2 Class B, Hanson’s Stephanie Wallace won the assistant coach of the year.

Burke’s Ron Determan was named the head coach of the year in Area 3 Class B, while Lawron Bohr from Mount Vernon/Plankinton was the head coach of the year recipient for Class A.
