State boys basketball matchups set in Class A and Class B

State tournaments to be held in Rapid City, Sioux Falls and Aberdeen

MITCHELL — With the completion of the SoDak 16 games on Thursday, the Class A and Class B state boys basketball brackets are set for March 16-18.

In Class A, St. Thomas More secured the No. 2 seed with its win over McLaughlin 52-34 at Rapid City Central, while Faith won in Class B over Northwestern 75-64 in Timber Lake.

The matchups for the state tournaments are listed below:

Class AA state quarterfinals

Thursday, March 16 — at Summit Arena in Rapid City. All times Central

No. 1 Sioux Falls Jefferson (19-2) vs. No. 9 Harrisburg (14-7), 1 p.m.

No. 4 Yankton (16-5) vs. No. 5 Sioux Falls Washington (15-6), 2:45 p.m.

No. 2 Sioux Falls Lincoln (18-3) vs. No. 7 Sioux Falls Roosevelt (13-8), 7 p.m.

No. 3 Mitchell (17-4) vs. No. 6 Pierre (14-7), 8:45 p.m.

No. 1 Dakota Valley (23-0) vs. No. 8 Hot Springs (19-4), noon.
