Rescheduled Corn Palace Relays set for Monday afternoon

MITCHELL — Following a weather-driven postponement, the Corn Palace Relays have been rescheduled for Monday afternoon.

Per the Mitchell School District activities calendar, the meet will begin at 4 p.m. at Joe Quintal Field. Schools set to attend include Faulkton Area, Huron, Kimball/White Lake, Mount Vernon/Plankinton and Yankton.

Originally scheduled for Saturday, April 15, the event was slated to host nearly 20 teams but was called off due to low temperatures, wind and the threat of rain.

Monday’s forecast calls for high temperatures in the low 60s with sunny skies and winds of 5-10 mph.
