DELL RAPIDS, S.D. — Parkston scored three runs in the top of the fourth inning and four in the top of the fifth to propel the Trojans to an 8-4 road win over Dell Rapids in prep baseball action on Wednesday.
The Trojans trailed by one through three innings before Maddox Brissette gave the visitors the lead with a base hit on the first pitch at-bat to bring two runs home. Leading 3-2, Parkston’s Kaleb Weber had a base hit of his own, bringing another runner home and extending the lead to two.
The bats continued to stay hot in the fourth inning as Brayden Jervik and Josh Polreis each connected for a hit, scoring four runs total. Parkston ended the game with 12 hits to Dell Rapids' seven.
Will Jodozi led the way for Parkston going 3 of 4 at the plate and scoring two runs. Brissette finished the contest with two hits and two RBIs, while Weber finished with two hits, as well.
Ty Neugebauer started the game at the mound for the Trojans, allowing four hits and two runs, while striking out five batters in three innings. Jay Storm picked up the win for Parkston as he surrendered three hits and two runs in the final four innings.

For Dell Rapids, Aiden Boechler led the way going 3 of 4 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Landon Ruesink took the loss for Dell Rapids, pitching 4 2/3 innings, striking out four batters, but allowing six hits and five runs.
