Mitchell's Maddie Childs wins division at SDGA Junior Tour event in Brandon

Maddie Childs headlined the Mitchell competitors at the SDGA Junior Tour event in Brandon after shooting an 82 and winning her division.

BRANDON, S.D. — Brandon Golf Course was home to a SDGA Junior Tour event on Wednesday with a host of representatives from Mitchell.

Maddie Childs shot an 11-over round of 82 to take first place in the age 14-15 girls division by one stroke over Sioux Falls’ Erin Hurd. Mia Larson competed in the 12-13 girls division and placed third with a 93, while Anna Eliason finished one place behind her, shooting a 99.

Jordan Meyerink shot a 95 to finish in 11th place in the 12-13 boys division, while Brady Reiners shot an 86 and finished 19th in the 14-15 boys division and Marshall Windstrom shot a 91 to finish 24th.

Jager Juracek finished in sixth place in the 16-18 boys after shooting an 8-over, 79. Jackson Skuodas, out of Sioux Falls, won the division by three strokes after shooting a 74.
