MITCHELL — Mitchell bounced back from a pair of losses last time out with two wins on Saturday at Hitchcock Park.

Mitchell beat Spearfish 9-0 and then took down Sioux Falls Jefferson 7-2.

Delaney Degen won both sets of her singles match 6-0, while Carsyn Weich won 6-0 and 6-1 in her two sets. In doubles, Ireland Blindauer and Elly Clement won both sets 6-0. Our newsroom occasionally reports stories under a byline of "Mitchell Republic." Often, the "Mitchell Republic" byline is used when rewriting basic news briefs that originate from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and which require little or no reporting. At times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.
