Mitchell Black falls to Marshall Tigers in teener baseball contest

The Mitchell 14-and-under baseball team dropped a game against the Marshall Tigers on Thursday, July 1.

SIOUX FALLS – Mitchell Black came up short in a four-inning contest against the Marshall Tigers as the Mitchell 14-and-under baseball team lost 13-1 on Thursday, July 1.

The Tigers posted seven runs in the second inning and five runs in the fourth inning. Mitchell managed to score one run in the bottom of the second inning on an error by the Tigers infield, but was out-hit 7-0.

D. Adams scored the lone run for Mitchell Black and V. Johnson took the loss at the mound. Johnson struck out one but allowed three hits and one earned run in two innings pitched.
