MITCHELL — After a doubleheader against Pierre on Friday was canceled, Mitchell now welcomes Rapid City Stevens to town for a pair of contests. First pitch for Game 1 is scheduled for 3 p.m.
Coming into the games — which are the final two home games of the high school regular season — Mitchell sits at 8-9. The Kernels will end the regular season Tuesday at O'Gorman, with the regional tournament to follow Saturday, May 20.

“Over 20 years I’ve … very rarely had siblings of different ages be able to play (together),” coach Luke Norden said. “So it's kind of special to be able to do something like that with a sibling.”
