MADISON, S.D. — Aiden Lieber had a strong offensive day to help Mitchell Christian to a victory at the Dakota State University boys basketball classic, a 63-45 win over Arlington at the DSU Fieldhouse.

Since an 0-4 start, MCS has won four of its last five contests. Lieber finished with 29 points on 12-of-16 shooting, plus seven rebounds and seven steals, earning game MVP honors. Mitchell Christian led 16-14 after a quarter and then used a 17-9 edge in the second quarter to build a 33-23 halftime lead and after taking a nine-point edge to the fourth quarter, MCS outscored Arlington 18-9 in the final eight minutes.

Braedon Nebelsick had 12 points and seven rebounds for the Golden Eagles, while Nahum Anderberg had eight points and five rebounds and Joseph Tegethoff and Syver Enga each scored five points, with five steals from Tegethoff. Mitchell Christian feasted on turnovers, forcing 24 Arlington giveaways and turning them into a 26-4 edge in points off turnovers, as the Golden Eagles had only nine turnovers.

For Arlington (2-8), Blake Madsen had 16 points and 10 rebounds and Kaden Steffensen had 15 points but Mitchell Christian kept the Cardinals offense in check for most of the day.
