MADISON, Wis. — Former Yankton High School standout and three-time South Dakota Gatorade Player of the Year Matthew Mors entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal on Monday, March 21, after redshirting for the University of Wisconsin men’s basketball program as a freshman this season.

Mors, a 6-foot-7 forward, finished his prep career with 2,707 points across six varsity seasons and was the No. 1-ranked recruit in the class of 2021 from the state of South Dakota, per 247Sports. He was also tabbed as the No. 28 power forward and No. 152 player overall in his recruiting class.
Prior to committing to Wisconsin in September 2019, Mors held scholarship offers from programs such as Creighton, Iowa State, Iowa and Nebraska, as well as South Dakota State and South Dakota. He will have four years of eligibility remaining wherever he lands next.
