KIMBALL, S.D. -- Kimball/White Lake had a pair of scorers account for more than three-fourths of its scoring in a girls basketball victory over Tripp-Delmont/Armour in a 60-37 win on Monday afternoon.

Harley Namanny scored 23 points and seven rebounds for KWL, which had 22 points and 11 rebounds from Ryann Nielsen. Dani Deffenbaugh had a game-high 14 rebounds for KWL, which led 26-14 at halftime and 42-25 after three quarters.

For the Nighthawks, Megan Reiner had 15 points and Mia Reiner had 11 points and six points. Faith Goehring added seven rebounds but TDA finished shooting 24% from the field.

KWL (3-3) hosts Bridgewater-Emery on Tuesday, Jan. 17 in Kimball. TDA (2-5) heads to Mitchell Christian on Thursday, Jan. 19.

Girls leaders

  • Class A No. 4 Wagner cruised for a road win over Ethan on Monday night, 59-36 behind 32 points from Ashlyn Koupal, who was 15-for-17 on field goals, including 13-for-13 on two-pointers. Emma Yost added 12 points and nine rebounds for the Red Raiders, outscored Ethan 46-22 after the first quarter. Ava Lingemann scored 13 points for the Rustlers. 
  • Abby Hohn had 18 points and 11 rebounds for Parkston in a 54-44 road win over Winner, powered by a 20-10 margin in the fourth quarter. Mya Thuringer had 11 points and Berkley Ziebart scored 10 for the Trojans. Winner was paced by 11 points from Keelie Kuil
  • Jessy Jo VanDerWerff had 21 points and Cassidy Keiser had 18 points for Gregory in a home win over Platte-Geddes, 47-43. Karly VanDerWerff had 12 points for the Black Panthers, while Baleigh Nachtigal had nine points. 
  • In an interstate battle, Cody-Kilgore (Neb.) knocked off Colome in a girls basketball matchup, 46-36. Toree Ringing Shield had 12 points and seven rebounds for the Cowgirls, with Maura Luedke scoring 10 points for Colome. 
  • Michaela McCormick had 17 points and 13 rebounds for McCook Central/Montrose in a home victory over Dell Rapids, 50-46. Abby Wagner added 13 points and eight rebounds from off the bench for the Fighting Cougars. Jenna Miller scored 17 points for Dell Rapids. 
  • Jurni Vavruska had 17 points and seven rebounds for Bon Homme in a 42-31 win over Bridgewater-Emery. Jaden Kortan added 13 points for the Cavaliers, while Hayden Hofer had 16 points for the Huskies and Oakley Weber added 10. 
  • Zoey Gerry (Madison) and Ella Merriman (Beresford) each scored 24 points but the Watchdogs won 59-52 on Monday in Madison. 

Boys leaders

  • For Gregory, which won 55-52 over Platte-Geddes, Daniel Mitchell scored 18 points and eight rebounds, Noah Bearshield had 13 points and seven rebounds, and Cruz Klundt tallied eight assists. Tanner Dyk had 13 points, Dawson Hoffman scored 11 and Hayden Sprik had 10 points for the Black Panthers. 
  • Blake Volmer had 19 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists for Winner on 9-for-13 shooting in a home win over Parkston by 68-61 score. Aiden Barfuss scored a game-high 25 points for the Warriors. Sam Benson scored 21 points for Parkston and Will Jodozi had 20 points for the Trojans. 
  • Tripp-Delmont/Armour earned a road win at Kimball/White Lake, 50-43. Isaac Wunder had 17 points and nine rebounds and Mason Reiner scored 10 for TDA. Dawson Miller had 19 points and Blake Leiferman had 16 points and 15 rebounds for KWL.  
  • Eli Vobr had 17 points, seven steals and four assists for Colome in a 64-48 win at Cody-Kilgore (Neb.) on Monday. Joseph Laprath added 15 points for the Cowboys.
