Platte-Geddes moves hoops games ahead of expected storm

PLATTE-Due to impending inclement weather, Platte-Geddes has rescheduled its boys and girls basketball games from Friday to Thursday in Platte.

The Black Panthers boys basketball team faces Lennox, with the junior varsity slated to begin at 5 p.m. and the varsity takes the court at approximately 6:15 p.m.

The Platte-Geddes JV girls basketball team hosts Gayville-Volin at 6 p.m. in the multi-purpose gymnasium and the varsity is scheduled to play Gayville-Volin after the boys game is completed.

The National Weather Service is currently calling for snow accumulation up to 6 inches and winds reaching 15 miles per hour on Friday.
